Frequently Asked Questions
Below you will find some of the frequently asked questions we receive and you might find some of the answers you seek here. If you don't, or need more detail, please don't hesitate to contact us directly, either by phone, text or email. We are always available to answer any question you might have about the services we provide, the process to request service, or general biohazard cleanup questions.
-
What specific services do you provide? We are biohazard removal specialist. We specialize in the cleanup and decontamination of biohazards and bloodborne pathogens. We work with crime scenes, trauma scenes and scenes following a death or illness. We can cleanup, for example, blood, body fluids, fingerprint dust and many more materials associated with crimes, suicides and unattended deaths. We also can address odors that can result from these same type of scenes. In addition to these services, we decontaminate scenes that have been contaminated by infectious diseases, making them healthy once again. All of our services can be provided to both residential and commercial properties (along with vehicles when needed).
-
What areas do you service and where are you located? We service the entire state of South Carolina. We are based out of the Midlands in South Carolina, so with this central location, we can quickly respond to any location in South Carolina. We don’t add additional costs for travel/travel time or have different rates based on location. Our billing does not start until we actually start performing the work we offer. This includes our estimates, as our estimates are free and carry no obligations. As a local company to South Carolina, we only provide our services to the Palmetto State and do so proudly.
-
Who pays for the services you provide? There are several options that could be available to you when dealing with payment for our services. We can work directly with Home Insurance Companies once a claim has been filed. Generally, there are deductibles associated with insurance but depending on the exact policy, insurance companies will cover any structural cleaning required and may cover personal property as well. Additionally, we do offer financing through Wisetack. You can pre-qualify, without impact to your credit score, through the link here. We are also approved vendors for SCVAN, meaning that once approved by a victim advocate and SCVAN, we can bill SCVAN directly to cover the cost of the services required. We also accept cash, check, credit cards and can also bill for our services, so you don’t have to worry about immediate payment.
-
Who contacts you when your services are needed? We have several avenues for contacting us. If you are looking to reach us, you can call us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at (803) 220-4106 and we will answer your call directly. Another avenue to contact us is through our website, www.DiligentDecon.com, where you can send us an email message and we will respond as quickly as possible. If you are a victim advocate working on behalf of someone else, any of the above mentioned methods of contacting us will work as well.
-
What information do I need when I contact you and what should I expect? When you contact us to request our services, we only need to know who our contact is, the location you need us to cleanup and the type of service you believe you need. We will then schedule a time we can meet you or someone who will represent you at the scene or near the scene. We generally can respond immediately, no matter the time of day or night. We then will come to the scene and perform an estimate. We will then discuss the scope of work required and get your authorization to perform the services discussed. We recognize the situation that many of our clients are going through at these times and try to limit as much interaction and discussion to avoid any added anguish. We use unmarked work vans and arrive professionally dressed and conduct ourselves as you would hope in these situations. Discretion is a fundamental core value of all of our technicians.
-
Are you properly insured to provide the services you offer? We carry all of the required licenses and insurance to provide our biohazard remediation services. We also ensure that each of our technicians are properly and professionally trained in all of the standards and procedures in biohazard remediation and the OSHA requirements of our industry.
-
What recommendations or reviews can you provide about the quality of your work?Since our purpose for providing our services is to help people in need in a professional, highly trained manner, you can rest assured that we take the level of work and our interactions with our clients very seriously. We are highly rated members of the Better Business Bureau and have been a featured local business in their “Start With Trust” Campaign. We also have earned the recommendations of several county coroners and both local police departments and county sheriff’s offices. On top of these endorsements, our website is littered with positive feedback and reviews from past clients who were not only extremely satisfied and grateful for the quality of work, but also for our demeanor, discretion and caring nature. These values are fundamental into how we approach every scene we address.
-
What contributions do you make to the local community? We have made a commitment to our local community in South Carolina to provide not only a portion of our revenue, but also materials, services and time to several organizations within the state that advocate for victim rights, as well as other groups who serve the people of South Carolina. To us, our Giveback Program is the backbone of why we do what we do. When we started our company, our main goal was to provide honest and professional help to the citizens of South Carolina and our Giveback Program is the result of that core value.
